Approach
The OptimumMETHODSM
Our project approach to implementation leverages our proprietary project methodology, OptimumMETHODSM, which has been proven successful in our numerous implementations and upgrades.
Key Components of Our Methodology
Our approach is not typical and neither are our results.
Our approach is simple. We work closely with our clients as one unit focused on designing and implementing solutions that will achieve your business objectives. The key to our approach is high-powered teams, combining our seasoned system professionals with the people who know your business best, your staff. This collaborative, blended team approach gives us the ability to reduce implementation costs for our clients and accelerate the knowledge transfer process.
Our approach fits the reality of business today. Speed, quality, and value must all be combined together so that organizations do not have to wait years for the tools necessary to compete effectively.
Define the goals
A clear and agreed upon business focus and scope is necessary to avoid sub-optimal solutions, and key performance metrics should be identified upfront to measure success.
Understand requirements and processes
Paramount in our approach is the establishment of a firm understanding of your business requirements and current business processes as the platform for all project design, testing and implementation decisions.
Utilize highly experienced teams
We believe that experience is the key ingredient in forming successful project teams; this is relevant experience with the software, with the business process and within your industry. The team’s experience influences the quality of the final design, the quality of the testing and especially the quality of the end user training.
Define at the earliest stage
Review and approval processes, issue resolution and decision paths, status reporting and scope control to ensure issues are quickly resolved and all standards are being followed.
End user participation
Knowledgeable end user resources must be readily available as subject matter experts and as participants during the entire project from analysis and design through training, testing and implementation.
Focus on knowledge transfer
Utilization of a truly blended team of your company and Optimum resources across each area of the project is essential to ensure that knowledge transfer is occurring throughout the life of the project and to position you to effectively manage the system once in production.
Robust system & integration testing
The quality of this type of system implementation greatly depends on structured and robust system and integration testing. We believe in creating test scripts and scenarios early in the implementation to allow the project team to measure its progress. Our methodology and toolkit are great assets in developing a full coverage, structured test program.
End user readiness
Aside from system testing, user readiness is the number one area where system projects fail. We believe in the early focus on end user training documentation preparation and procedure development.
